For salamanders, regeneration after injury, such as the loss of a limb, involves regrowth of structure and restoration of function with the constant possibility of twinning or other odd topographical productions at the site of former injury. The regrown limb can be monstrous, duplicated, potent. We have all been injured, profoundly. We require regeneration, not rebirth…
Donna Haraway

Evening Hours presents an experimental grouping of writings including confessionals on screens, poetry, and contradictory fiction. It’s a quiet feminist technology which conjures and affirms the self through writing about oneself or one’s desires. Regenerating like the salamander takes place in the kitchen too.

Join us on Friday, November 20 at 8pm for an opening event featuring vocal performance by Mehron Abdollmohammadi.
